Future Plans

This artist's sketch shows Toulouse's ambitious plans to renovate the entire area just round the corner from Le Pierrotin. The work will take many years, but clearly, every one of those projects can only enhance the attractivity of the apartment and its location.

Canal Locks renovation

Work is already underway to renovate the Locks on the Canal de Brienne, literally 20m from our front door. The work will be completed at the end of 2025

In front of TSE

The space in front of the Toulouse School of Economics (which is just 200 m from the apartment) will be completely renovated. 

This is the first area to be developed. Eventually, this area will house a pedestrian forecourt and a new garden featuring plant beds and 9 new tall trees (lime, sophora and Judas).

It is currently undergoing major earthworks.

The banks of the canal

A pedestrian walkway, punctuated by benches, will be created along the alleys, replacing the existing herringbone car park.

The two-way cycle path will be separated from the pedestrian walkway, to give each user (pedestrian and cyclist) their own dedicated space, making travel easier and safer.

A plantation of 7 maple trees, aligned along the facades, will frame the vehicular traffic lane and longitudinal parking area.

Place des Reines

 pedestrian garden will be created overlooking the Canal de Brienne. It will be embellished with street furniture and 13 tall trees (hackberry, lime and sophora) will be planted.
